Seventeen Sickles to a Galleon

Yes, I did see HP7 this weekend and it was AWESOME! I am a huge HP geek. ^^

...Onto the outfit of the day! I woke up and it was snowing. It is supposed to be very very cold today, so I decided that it wouldn't at all be cheating to swap out my pinstripe short-sleeve button down for my Underarmour longsleeve shirt. The forecast is cold and snowy for the week, a surprise for Big City which usually sees little snow, so I'm not going to feel bad at all about my swap. After I got completely dressed, had eaten breakfast, and was ready to go, I got the call that school was canceled for the day. However, I was already dressed so I took my outfit photos and am now snuggled up in a blanket, wearing leggings and my sweater.

  1. This is a beautiful snowy day look! I can't decide what piece I like the most. I love the boots and the tights. But I also love how the scarf goes so well with the jacket,
Send some of that snow this way - it is too cold not be have some pretty snow!

  4. yes! i love your mixture of technical + fashionable clothing, i think we're going to get along wonderfully :)

OMG. that sounds SO painful about running in the rain in your vibrams. i mean, bleeding feet??? oh geeze. have you found a solution? mine are too small to fit any socks in, i think i might have to buy another pair for wearing with socks. i think some injinjis might be the answer for not killing your feet in the rain...

  5. My solution was to avoid wearing the shoes for a few weeks, to give my feet time to repair, and now I preemptively put on band-aids in that area (medical tape would also work) to avoid the wear. My guess is that with a few months of running in the shoes they will break in and mold more to my feet and I won't have this problem. Other than that, though, they've been great! :)

  7. That coat and scarf are a match made in heaven! Such lovely colors together!

I hope that you enjoyed your snow day off! I think it has to be cold enough for people to get bad frost bite here before they'll cancel classes. And that's kind of too bad because I do love the unexpected luxury of a snow day.
