Deuce Seven (Means Twenty Seven)

I love my hair up like this. I was iffy at first, thinking it would make me more milkmaid-in-Switzerland than I would like, but so far it has been a fantastic way to keep my hair out of my face in an unusual but cute way! TIP: If your hair isn't long enough for the braids to go all the way across the top of your head, make the pigtails start higher--you can see that my braided pigtails start above my ears, so they will be long enough to reach over my head. :)

Do you have any ingenious ways to put your hair up?

  1. Oh my goodness, that's SO cute. Love it! I'll have to try it out sometime, but I'm TERRIBLE at braiding my own hair. I'm always jealous of those who can french braid their own hair. :(

  2. Normally I just keep my hair in a ponytail to put it up. Sometimes I go for butterfly clips too. But I love these braids! Super cute!! And your outfit is super cute too! :)

  3. kimmie--This isn't a french braid, it's just a regular braid that has been braided out like a normal pigtail, then brought up over the top of my head and secured with bobby pins! I'm pretty crappy at French braids and this is fairly easy for me to do. :)

Matt--thanks! I used to wear butterfly clips, haha. I have been having fun with braids recently, especially because I have approximately 3546452 layers and braids keep everything together.

  4. I seriously love your hair SO MUCH this way. I'm scared to try it because I'm scared I won't be able to pull it off but I think I will anyway.

  5. Lydia Marie--You totally should try it! I didn't think I could pull it off either and now it's one of my favorite hairstyles!
